During the first half of the Summer Term Yarty Class spend one day each week at Forest School. It takes place outdoors, and the children take part in a range of making, creating, and exploring tasks. The sessions form the stimulus for most of our lessons back at school, hopefully giving the children a rich and challenging experience to reflect on as they go.
RNLI ‘Meet the Lifeguards
Otter and Coly classes had a visit from the RNLI ‘Meet the Lifeguards’ team to deliver a beach safety programme.
Being so close to the coast we feel that this will be a useful life skill for this age group.
Year 5 & Year 6 Residential
Our Year 5 & Year 6 pupils attend a Multi–Activity 5 day residential visit in North Devon.
The children had the opportunity to experience a wide range of outdoor activities including: high wires, zip wire, fencing, archery, cycling, assault course to name a few.
Kilmington Kanter, Fun Run & 1k race – Results 2016
Was held on 25th MARCH 2016
HELD UNDER THE ASSOCIATION OF RUNNING CLUBS RULES.
Approx. 7 miles of multi-terrain starting at Kilmington cricket field 2 challenging hills just over 1 mile long each. The rest of the course is downhill and flat. 10 stiles and gates on footpaths through the flat section, first stile after the 2 mile point. 2.5 mile fun run, a challenging course through Kilmington Woods.
