The Magical Christmas Jigsaw
Once again thank all the children of the school who have done us proud and given us a production to be proud of. It takes a lot of hard work from the children and the school staff to assemble these productions and produce a piece of such fine quality that includes every single child in the school.
Y5 & Y6 Sports Hall Athletics
Congratulations Kilmington Primary Y5 & Y6
On Tuesday 21st of November All Saints; Colyton; Kilmington; Seaton A and B; St Mary A and B competed in our Annual year 5/6 Indoor athletics events. Children took part in Speed bounce; Standing long jump; Chest push; long distance and short distance relay races. Each team of 12 took their turn to compete in all the events. An accumulative school was recorded as the event was in full flow. The leaders gave them tips on how to improve their jumps and to get quicker faster and longer scores. The leaders also go a great deal of experience out the event and said they enjoyed helping the younger children.
A HUGE well done to all teams! Every single athlete tried their best and contributed to the overall score.
Congratulations to Seaton and Kilmington Primary schools who are entering the next level of competition.

Gold Award for School Games
For the fourth year running we have achieved the Gold Award for school games – a fabulous achievement for a small village school. We are so proud to be able to nurture children with the enthusiasm for an active lifestyle.
Fairtrade – Coly Class
This term Coly class have been learning about Fairtrade. We made Fairtrade fruit sticks with orange dip in our DT lesson using as much Fairtrade fruit as possible.

Swimming Gala – Year 5 & Year 6
Another triumph in our Sporting Events – we have won the Year 5/6 swimming gala again and I believe that our school is the only one to be on the shield so far! Congratulations to all those children and thanks to Mrs Quick for training the children for the event. To achieve such continued success takes dedication from all involved and a commitment to advocating a healthy lifestyle. In the news recently were statistics regarding increasing levels of obesity in children. If we can encourage healthy lifestyles – being active and eating sensibly – we are on our way to sending children out into the world with the knowledge and attitude to live long and healthy lives.
Stone Age Hunter Gatherers
Otter class had a stone age survival expert come in who talked to the class about different things and let us have a go at them too. We had a go at fire making, we did some flint knapping, and we made some string all with stone age techniques and stone age style tools.
We learned so much, and were all inspired with our topic of Stone Age hunter gatherers!
